Technology

In order to deliver software solutions and services to the global customers, GBTS (TEKsystems India) has adopted the best of technology in terms of the infrastructure – encompassing the network design and implementation, communication as well as the architecture / configuration of the servers and workstations.

LAN

The entire GBTS (TEKsystems India) premises is connected through high-speed switched Local Area Network (LAN) with gigabit fiber backbone. All LAN Hardware is standardized on CISCO, Layer2 and Layer3 manageable switches.  Layer 3 Switch facilitates partitioning the network into smaller logical subnets depending on the needs of the software development projects awarded by the customers, for ensuring data security between different projects and also quickly scale up as need arises.

Communication

GBTS (TEKsystems India) operations at Chennai, India is connected to the rest of the world through a 2 Mbps premium dedicated leased Circuit. We are running multiple Virtual Private Networks (Site to Site VPN Tunnels) for several clients based in the USA and Canada and are executing online projects across various technology platforms.  The bandwidth is scalable on a need basis.

Information Security

At GBTS (TEKsystems India), we understand the criticality of a secured environment for the development in all the aspects like Administrative, Technical and Physical security. We have the systems and procedures in place to make sure the Availability, Integrity and Confidentiality of the client’s information.  All these we are achieving through effective controls like Checkpoint Firewall, Cisco Networking Hardware, 3DES encryption enabled VPNs, RSA integrated remote VPNs, Active Directory for the Centralized Authentication, Access Cards, Security Cameras, Smoke Detectors, DG backed Protected UPSs, 24 x 7 Manned Security and so on.. 

Servers and Workstations

All servers and workstations have been standardized on HP and Laptops have been standardized by using DELL. All workstations are Pentium 4 Class workstations. The servers are Xeon based machines with a RAID and all other redundancies.  Servers are standardized on high end HP Proliant series.
In addition to the above-mentioned technology advantages at our corporate headquarters and development center, we take utmost care in creating any additional technology infrastructure along with our partners.  Our partners' facilities are distributed across India and are well prepared for executing our customer projects.
